Thanks Pancho, you are correct. Even though PMC stamped caps are second edition they are still GM issued and not reproductions. If you have a 67 with a tank sticker that lists N89, the price of original wheels is worth it to me. Anyone can put them on any 67 and they would be correct, but with paperworrk it proves it is 1 of the 720.

When I purchased mine about 10 years ago, I paid $500 for four HC caps. They were from Dave Cosner. Condition was excellent. Price is probably up 50-75% since then. I would think a decent deal would be four for about $750 today.

I had a choice of excellent used HC caps or new in the box GM PMC caps. Same price. I chose the HC.

I'm sure others will also provide their numbers.

There is nothing in the '67 TIM&JG about this, and as far as I know, the HC vs. PMC is not checked in flight judging.
