Was there a first and second model for the center cap? I have heard one was stamped HC and one is stamped PMC. I never heard this nor did I ever take notice. Thanks.

Re: Original 67 KH bolt on wheel starburst center caps
Robert, it is my understanding (and a lot of guys agree with me) that the first design had HC center caps and the later design had PMC center caps. The tint of the red inserts was a deeper red on the HC caps compared with the PMC caps which had a brighter red insert. HC's are hard to find. I have been looking for 2 more NOS HC caps for a while to go with the 2 I already have. Regards, and Merry Christmas. ARA- Top

Re: Original 67 KH bolt on wheel starburst center caps
Thanks guys! I just bought a set of 5 orignal and complete KH bolt on wheels from Ken and Gary Nabers. They have had them sitting around for over ten years! Ken told me that Dave Cosner restored them over 10 years ago. I have not gotten them yet but I will post which caps are on the wheels when they arrive.- Top

Re: Original 67 KH bolt on wheel starburst center caps
Hi All, I spoke to Ken Nabers yesterday and they are getting ready to ship the wheels, He checked all the starburst caps and they are all PMC second edition. My car is 12/08/66 with N89 on the tank sticker. Would it have had HC or PMC starbursts?- Top

Re: Original 67 KH bolt on wheel starburst center caps
Prior discussions here on the NCRS board suggest first edition (HC) ones were the original 1967 production run, and GM re-issued caps in 1970 or so and those had the PMC (second edition) stamps. See this thread https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthrea...ight=starburstThat is correct from all I had e heard and remember, the PMCs are not original to '67.
$XX,000 dollars for a set of bolt-on wheels, and their caps aren't even original to the 67 model? Geez....B.D.
