am in the process of stripping all chrome/trim/emblems from the next project, a 63 FI roadster i've had for about 25-30 years. when i bought it, i looked the body over pretty good and it didn't appear to have any previous body work. i've since confirmed my initial impression of the old girl, with the exception of the left front parking/directional signal assembly. turns out ole bubba went to the Home Depot instead of corvette central or long island corvette supply. he must have lost the attaching studs and their nuts to secure the assembly to the parking light fiberglass panel so he picked up a bag of Sacrete(spelling looks troublesome) . i had to take a hammer and ice pick to break up the concrete at the rear of the light assembly. mike

He sure didn't come in second to the Maryland Missile at the track - I might add the Maryland Missile had been up to a full second faster in every practice run. Might have been a sandbagger who didn't need to use any "cheater part"- Top
