Re: Dealer stickers
Addition of a dealer nameplate was considered a normal part of standard dealer prep at many dealerships - if one is present, ignore it. Installation of anything else that DIDN'T come in the car from the factory warrants an appropriate deduction.- Top

Re: Dealer stickers
I purchased a significant number of Chevrolets in the late 70's, 80's, and early 90's as a GM employee. Most were from the same dealer using the same salesman who handled the GM employee orders. He always told me that his boss insisted that every car leaving the property must have a sticker on it. So for the sake of his retaining his job, and our good relationship, I agreed. But, he also said that if I removed them a block down the street it was ok - which I did. I found that if I removed them as soon as possible they came off fairly easy using just a finger nail. However, if you waited a day or two, or let it bake in the sun for awhile, then you had a job on your hands.

Re: Dealer stickers
How would judging standard on page 14 apply to Balwin Motion Corvette GTs, Nickey Stingrays, or Malcolm Konor Commemmorative Corvettes, Duntov turbo C3 since these car are dealer built after they leave the factory or are they exempt from NCRS judging?- Top

Re: Dealer stickers
If only the NCRS published a book that spelled out all the rules and regulations on this subject and made it available to everyone, there wouldn't be a need for such controversy. Maybe they could even define a 'Judging Standard'.- Top
