I have some light scratches on the driver's side door glass on the outside. It was caused by the outer rubber wiper seal on the door panel over the years, maybe by sand or dirt. They run vertical from top to bottom. The seals have been replaced. I would like to keep the original glass. Is there any way to cover or remove these scratches?

Re: Help with door glass
Hi Gary,
Terry's right that there's been lots of discussion about glass scratches.
The consensus seems to be that if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail it will take a LOT of polishing to remove it and the result might leave a distortion in the glass that'll be visible at some angles.
If the mark is more of a 'smear' from rubbing, people report better results.
Certainly worth a try if it saves your original glass!
