    Flywheel cover for NOM '64

MY NOM in 1964 convertible is 18F23065 V0603HN. I do not have a cover for flywheel, which it appears is supposed to be held in by 4 bolts. Is this the part number I need 3789959?? From past info provided this engine is a 1968 327, originally a powerglide, currently it has a 4 speed (only tranny number I can currently see/read is 388 325).
This car is a driver for me, but would definitely like to have a cover here (some call it a dust cover?).

Anyone know a source for this part? Thanks.

Flywheel cover or dust cover will need to match the bellhousing. Try to get a casting number off your bellhousing and post it here. I am sure we can come up with a number or application from that. Chip.

I thought of including that number after I posted the first time...anyways casting #3914678. And E228, or May 22, 1968.

        Ron -

That's the engine block casting number. You should find the (aluminum) bellhousing casting number on the passenger side, just forward of where the transmission attaches.

If the bellhousing casting number is 3840383 or 3858403 you need cover GM #354497

If the bellhousing casting number is 3899621 or 464697 you need cover GM #3843943

Where to obtain either one? Any GM dealer can order one for you as both part numbers are currently available from GM.

Here's an update on the numbers, since I was under the lift this afternoon and did my homework for once!
Trans number: 388 325 then underneath that is: 3088336, followed by General Motors Corporation

Bellhousing passenger side: GM, then "2" underneath that, then 3840383.

So the part number for the dust cover is: ??
            Thanks again everyone, Ron

You need GM #354497. Any GM dealer can order it for you. About 22 bucks, GM list.
