Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
I too want to know about the 425HP instead of 435HP for the 02L71AA. It is a real 435 and all the options on the tank sticker are on the car. It is a real N14 side exhaust. I have had many mid year cars and although I am not a document expert, I believe this tank sticker is legit.- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
It was a Fisher Body thing - that's where Chevrolet "borrowed" the A82 option nomenclature, since Chevrolet didn't deisgn or release headrests until the '66 Corvette, and the A82 descriptor file that came with it was for (Fisher Body) bench seat applications. They could have picked a different file for (Fisher Body) bucket seat applications, but apparently nobody noticed or cared.- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
This tank sticker is from an early May car. Verified by the NCRS documentation service. You can see the bench seat, et al.033.jpg
Here is another, now blown off the tank by a 5 mile an hour breeze.img230.jpg- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
I appreciate everyones information. I have learned some stuff I did not know. I have been in touch with Al Grenning and I am going to have the tank sticker authenticated. From what all of you have seen what is your opinion as to it being authentic? Thanks- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
Robert, I am no document expert either, but I simply wanted to point out the dates involved here. Order received July 19, expected production date is September, but produced Dec 9? Could some of the options held it's production up?- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
Hello Robert, I have serial number 5779 with the same L71 engine option. I had Al Grenning verify my tank sheet and he stated that this engine was listed as 425HP on early orders placed in July before production. My order date is 07/15/66. My final assembly date is 12/12/66. These order and delivery dates were effected by the strike. My tank sticker is almost identical to yours. Send a copy to Al Grenning and I will bet yours is authentic. Good luck, John- Top

Re: Opinions Please on this tank sticker
. Do you have the GM Canada Vintage info from George Zapora ? Do you have the [microfiche] Imported Shipping Report that includes yours and 26 other '67s ?

Congrat's Kurt, on your Canadian '67 VIN 05818. This gives you one more layer of documentation. Do you have the GM Canada Vintage info from George Zapora ? Do you have the [microfiche] Imported Shipping Report that includes yours and 26 other '67s ?

THANK you - I ordered the GM Canada Vintage info from George Zapora back in 2008 when I purchased the car. I believe George has since retired. I only have the paperwork from GM, so NO microfiche or the import/shipping docs. I asked George about having a copy and was told it's the same as the paperwork version, but it would be nice to have a copy original imported/shipping report to add to my documentation for my car.
I was told in the old days when you ordered the vintage info they would send you a copy of the page from the import/shipping report that your car was listed on - it included other info such as your key numbers (Of which, I had to pay extra for) and maybe other detailed info that only a vintage Corvette owner can appreciate.
I knew that Snyder Automobiles in Montreal went out of business, but not when and I have found very little information about them - so thanks for the added info about Snyder Wayne as it all helps tie the pieces together.- Top
