That's it for OPs...the rest will be judged on Saturday morning. Having a terrific time.
Leif, Relax and enjoy yourself. Your operations judging sheet indicates no deduction or comment on line 25. Your Ops judging team likely shared a verbal comment with you regarding the glove box light shield. Please look at 67 AIM UPC 12 sheet B2 View C note lower right corner... I doubt every UAW worker followed the AIM, but the data indicates the intent was to avoid glare on driver's eyes.

        Re: Texas Regional

Last post from the Lone Star Regional in Frisco, Texas. I, first, want to give a huge shout out to everyone involved...what a terrific experience. I want to especially thank all the guys who spent an amazing amount of time going over my car and then sharing their findings with me...never critical but always with incredible grace. For all of you members who have never attended an NCRS event I can only encourage you to do so. These folks volunteer their personal time and wealth of knowledge and, other than the cost of entry, it doesn't cost you a dime to find out more than you could possibly ever imagine about your treasure (your car). These guys came from all over the country...Angelo Milazzo from Connecticut, Glen Smith from Arizona, Ara Gechijian from Florida (via Boston), Mitch Stamos from Pennsylvania, Steven Cook from Pennsylvania, Steve Williamson from Arkansas and our Team Leader Nick Culkowski from New York. You can't buy this knowledge and dedication for any amount of money and each and every one of these gentlemen went out of their way to share their wisdom. They started on my car at 8:30 in the morning and didn't finish until noon. What dedication!!

I'll post a few more pics and, again, encourage ALL members to attend these events...even if you're not getting your car judged...you're missing out by not getting to meet the faces behind the posts.

              Hi Leif,
It's so good to hear how pleased you are with you're first Flight Judging experience!
I can only think that speaks to the quality of your car, your understanding of Flight Judging, and the knowledge and dedication you saw in the judges!
              Thanks for the pictures.
              Regards,
              Alan

                  Alan,

I think Nick Culkowski said it best when he said "relax and enjoy yourself". I went into this with eyes wide open having a fairly good grasp on what to expect of my car and, also, knowing what I wanted to take away from the experience. The judges made all the rest easy.

                  Regards,
                  Leif

Nick has good vision. He definitely sees the forest through the trees.

Just want to say a big "THANKS" to all the owners who brought cars out to the Texas Regional. Also want to thank all the judges, attendees and volunteers. It takes a team effort--thanks to all. Bob

Ha! The NTLs need perfect vision, hearing, smell, and instincts, and they have them too!

It was a great show, thank you to all involved and the car owners. My glove box light shield had the same issue. It was noted on the judging sheets, but no deduct.
