    Texas Regional

Thought I would post some pics from the opening day of the Texas Regional. I apologize in advance for the lack of quality of the pics...didn't realize I needed to focus an iPhone camera...oh well, here goes.

        Re: Texas Regional

My '67 is entered for Flight judging. Operations check this afternoon...one back-up light inop (swear it worked last night), Rods on back of door locks installed incorrectly so that when you turn the key clockwise it unlocks the door instead of locking and vice versa...easy fix, glove box light shield needs to be rotated 90 degrees...shines in driver's eyes when open, AM radio doesn't work (never checked that 'cause I never listen to AM). That's it for OPs...the rest will be judged on Saturday morning. Having a terrific time.

Can't wait to get there on Sat morning. My friend Steve has his 70 LS-5 there. Donnybrooke green.

                post more pics tomorrow.

Leif, Do you really think that a UAW member made sure that every glove box bulb shield was placed in the same manor on every car? I doubt that!!

I must agree, that's BS. I hope you didn't let them take a deduct for that. Did the light work? If it did then that's all that they need to look at, orientation of that light shield is not part of the ops check.

James is correct, it is part of interior...change it and good luck.

I thought the same thing about the UAW guys. To be honest, I don't know if they deducted any points or not...but, they did point it out as being incorrect. The remainder of my judging is in the morning at 8:30. Mine is the only '67 SB at the show...probably 10 '67 BB. This is my first NCRS meet and I can't say enough good things about all the members, owners and judges that I have met and spoken with. Most car shows you just go and look at the cars and not really interact with anyone. Here it's like one big happy (although, sometimes tense) family. Great time...great venue. I'll try and take some more pics tomorrow after judging and post tomorrow night.
