    Opinion on this car lift

Does anyone have this lift or have a valid opinion on this lift. It would be perfect for my garage. It appears to be certified. Thanks

Larry,Looks like a nice solution. With a resting height of about 5", your C1 should be able to go over it. I also have a C5 and C2 and the C2 will make it over and the C5 will not. What is the price of the lift?Jerry

Larry, if you want a small lift, the scissor lift is perfect. You might want to look at a Bend Pak as they are dual cylinder.
Has a scissor lift for years. Sold it and installed a four post. Four post is good for storage. Not great for working on suspension etc.
As for clearance I installed 2-2x10 on each side of the scissor lift. That provided enough clearance for a C5.

Bend Pak MD-6XP, but you can find others like Eagle lift PMR-6000
Not too pricy. Once the car in over it you don't even know it is in the garage.
You can do nearly everything you need except may tranny work. You can access to the gear shifter and drain/refill if needed.
Sold my scissor lift for a four post. Miss the scissor lift every time I need to work any of my cars. Life was better with the scissor lift.

Larry I was at the convention and only looked today at the board . I am a Mohawk distributor and have owned a USL6000 for over 10 years. We pulled a motor and tranny from a 59 we are restoring on the lift It will give you 6 feet underneath and the center is open to any repair needed. The Bend Pac and the other lifts mentioned are platform lifts, taking up much more space under the car and they have to be bolted down The Mohawk lift uses swing arms and comes with stackable height adapters. The other nice feature is the Mohawk is portable and can be moved if necessary. we moved ours outside to power wash the bottom of the 59. If you have any questions send me a e-mail

Mark, Will the car ride over the usl6000 or is the '61 corvette to low to ride over the lift arms? Can I get you phone number? Larry

                          Mark,
Can you leave a car raised on the USL6000 for an extended length of time? If the lift can be used to lift the vehicle to be worked on but also to leave it up would it allow you to drive a portion of another car underneath the raised vehicle to manage space constraints? A platform lift would be best but that takes up to much space in my garage.

Sam the answer to your question is yes You can leave a car in the air All brands of scissor lifts have a locking system. As with any style lift ,when raised the lift should always be parked on the mechanical locks for safety.
There is not very much room when a scissor lift is raised for pulling a car underneath but there is a few feet available.
