My Dipstick tube is pointing toward the steering wheel and is pressed up tight against my air box. I know this can't be right. Is there a special tube I can order for an FI or do I have to custom bend it? Attached is a photo. Thanks.

There is no special tube or bend for the FI cars. Instruction per AIM is "Install tube with plane of bend parallel to center line of crankshaft." Hope this helps. -

I have seen pictures of FI cars with the tube bent straight up parallel to the exhaust manifold.Comment

Mine is turned at base towards firewall enough to clear filter assembly. You did say air box, I am a little confused thought air box was one year only offered in 1957 model year special order for racing only? Can you please send pictures?

I meant filter assembly. Dot you have a photo of yours? My photo is in the first post. Mine is very tight and rubs up on my cleaner assembly.

Yes, my dipstick is very close to cleaner assembly as well. Was thinking you may have a COPO, always looking for a diamond in the ruff. BillComment
