I don't think it was that bad of a question, it's just that the answer, especially for a "hypothetical" car, has more subtleties and room for interpretation than Bill Clinton when he's testifying.
It's tough enough to come up with an accurate answer when we have the real car in front of us to inspect. Pictures increase the difficulty ten fold, words a hundred to a thousand fold.
Don't worry, we're not always so ornery. Well, except Jerry.
