Steve, If I understand your question correctly the number on the Main Body of a correct '56 Carter Carburator for a 210hp. car would be 0-953 and the air horn would most likely be 6-1098 for an early car or 6-1151 for a later car.

Where can I get a reference book or material on Carter carbs that specifies and identifies the main body and air horn number stampings for the various models?

Steve, please tell me what the intake casting number and the casting date
is on your single four 56 car. I have been researching this issues for a number of years. Also, what is the approximate build date for your car?
                        Thanks.
