The bolt replaces the one that holds the fuel pump rod in place, should it have a washer on it, what stops oil from dripping out? I know there is no pressure there so would some permatex #2 would help? Also what lenght should it be. I have a 3/8x1/2 in there now and dosen't appear to bottom out on anything. Thanks Mike

Mike-----
There's not supposed to be any washer on this bolt. 1/2" length is fine. Use Permatex on it to insure a seal. Otherwise, you may get oil "creep" past the threads---not a serious leak, but just enough to "mess up" the front of your engine. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
