    Harmonic Balancer Application

Can someone tell me the application for a 7" dia part # 3860060 HB. It looks like the bore would fit a BB crank. Could this be off a late 60's HP engine?

Thanks in advance for your comments

It is a big block balancer but I don't think that it was ever used for a Corvette application. I can probably tell you later what the application was.

The number that you mentioned, GM #3860060, was never the PART number for any big block balancer. However, it was the CASTING number for the hub section of the 7" OD, neutral-balanced balancer used on MANY 65-69 396 and 427 engines with hydraulic lifters, including 66-69 Corvette L-36 and L-68. The part number for this balancer is GM #3860008 and it's still available from GM. The balancer should weight 10-1/4 pounds.
