70 date codes

pulled some more parts off the 70 to restore them. where is the date code on the wiper motor?

does the horn relay have a date code? i lightly blasted the crud off of it and cant find a date. i found some numbers but dont think they are dates.

same problem with the ti module. no date. i found the part number. this part is rough. i have a nos ti module that i can use if no date code is needed.

Wiper motor -- date code is on the plastic tag that is glued to the motor. If your motor doesn't have one, a reproduction is available.

No date code on the horn relay

I believe there is a date code on the TI amplifier, but it is not judged. Often one can not even see the TI amplifier during judging, so looking for a date code is a waste of time for the judge.

wiper motor is a dirt clod. i will look closer when i get home today. i dont remember seing a plastic tag. good to know about the ti amp. i will just use the nos one with the same part number. and with a nice coat of black semi the relay will be fine.

The wiper motor date code will appear as an rectangular aluminum foil tag with black printing; as I recall, it should be on the barrel of the wiper motor housing.

i am afraid its gone. i dont remember it having one. i will look again today. i hope i can just clean this up and use it. if it does not work i will send it off for repair / restoration.

mine has that sticker. the top number is the same but the bottom number is different. the bottom number is 111 02A. my 70 is a june 70 car. what does this date code mean?

The first number is the same because it's the wiper motor part number. The second line includes a Julian type date, 111th day of 1970. I calculate April 21, 1970, a Tuesday.

The back side of the TI amplifier does have an ink stamp. An example would be 1 A 27, this is on one of my '71 coupes. January 27, 1971

if its an ink stamp on the ti amp its long gone on mine. the bottom is rust and the rest is rough, real rough. i have a nos piece i can use. it looks like 68 up ti amps are the same.

I have a couple of NOS 1111543 amplifiers. They also have an ink stamp. I believe Dave Fiedler at TI specialties has the proper ink stamp font for re-applying on the bottom amplier plates.
