Re: 67' VENT/WINDOW GLASS MOUNTING TO FRAME
A while back, someone described an outstanding method for doing this, using a Black&Decker workmate to press the glass into the frame. The frame was set into a plywood cut-out for support. Someone will chime in with exactly where to find it. Really clever idea. Kudos to its originator.- Top

Re: 67' VENT/WINDOW GLASS MOUNTING TO FRAME
I made the jig suggested in the above response. As it turned out I was able the press the glass into the frame without the jig just using my hands.
The jig was a cutout of 1/2 inch plywood in the shape of the frame to support the frame as you pushed the glass into the frame. The side of the jig was parallel to the glass edge so that you were pushing into a "square"- Top

Re: 67' VENT/WINDOW GLASS MOUNTING TO FRAME
I don't recall if I used soap, wouldn't hurt though. I was surprised at how easy the glass slipped into the frame. Possibly the glass setting tape I used was of a slightly less caliper..... At any rate they are tight now.- Top
