how many children are injured by conventional outlets. I read once that about 10-20 children each year drown in buckets. When I was about 8, a neighbors 2 year old drowned in a pool that only had about 2" of water in it. I'm thinking these outlets will only actually be child-proof if they are padlocked.
People buy tiny cars all the time, when the laws of physics dictate they'd be safer in a larger car. Congress keeps trying to repeal these laws, without success.
