    Which Bolt Headmarks ???

I have seen numerous E-Bay auctions for "correct" Valve Cover, Q-Jet & Fan Shroud bolts.

They range from headmarks such as:

    Valve Covers - "L" "E"
    Q-Jet - "TR" "CH" "SBC"
    Fan Shroud - "L" "E"

I've checked my Judging Manual (3rd Edition) to see what is correct for these three areas but it does not mention head markings. I didn't have much luck in the archives either.

Also, does my carb use 4 bolts or 3 bolts & a stud (accelerator bracket)?

    My car is a '68 327/300 with P/S, A/C & it has a metal fan shroud.

Is this covered somewhere else that I'm missing?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

Many different bolt headmarkings were used in PRODUCTION for certain fastener positions. The bolts seen on eBay might have been typical of those used for certain applications/fastener positions, but are not necessarily the ONLY ones used.

Your application originally used 2 bolts (long, for the forward positions) and 2 studs for the rear positions for carburetor-to-manifold fastening. The left rear stud retained the accelerator cable bracket.
