        As I recall, there were about four transmission pallets adjacent to the line operator (for the high-runners), and the stockman fetched the low-runners when required. The off-line inventory was stored closer to the rail dock.

            Do you remember if it was Joe #930 who posted a picture of the Muncies on a pallet (upside down) ?

            Usually, I copy all those shots, but don't believe I did for this one.

                That was one of Michael Hanson's photos; Muncies came 32 to a steel-banded wooden pallet, 4 layers, 8 transmissions per layer.

                        No, not offhand - don't know if they were in racks or on pallets; I was there in '67, and T-10's were long-gone in '63.
