The 4 lower screws on my '66 are the round head, phillips that the JM calls for in '67. The JM calls for 1/4" hex head screws for '66. Assuming the JM is correct, and they are different for '66, does anyone know where I can see a picture of them?

Re: '66 rocker molding lower attaching screws
Rob,
I can't locate the orginal ones from my '66, but I know they were definitely not hex heads. Now mine could have been replaced at some point, but I doubt it. Phillips sounds correct.

Re: '66 rocker attaching screws v. '67
Rob - This comment relates to rocker panels for '67. I see where you referred to the '67 panel in your post.
'67 rockers are attached from the bottom (vertically) by (approx.) 1/4" hex-head screws (approx.) 3/4" long, with a captive washer. This from a original owner non-molested Nov. car. (The head size was peculiar; it may well have been a 3/16"; I had to look around for a smaller nut driver that would fit.)
I just had mine off for refurbishment and clean-up last week.

Re: '67 rocker attaching screws
Tom - Very interesting. Typically we find Phillips head screws in those locarions and the 67 TIM&JG indicates "The bottom of each molding is attached to three stamped sheet metal brackets spot welded to the door sill frame and a stamped steel from bracket by four pan-head black Phillips screws with flat washers." Just shows again they were in the business to make money not cars to the TIM&JG; but my Sept 66 built 67 does have the Phillips head screws with washers and as far as I know they are original to the car.
