Forgot to mention... after the rubber is burned out of the bushings, a hacksaw is inerted through the old bushing outer sleeve, clamped in the hacksaw, and a cut made lengthwise through the side wall of the bushing. Then you use a chisel to "fold the bushing sleeve inward to break it's grip and then drive it out of the A-arm.
I've seen Joe's method with an air chisel used at an auto repair shop, and that worked very well, "walking" the bushing out of the arm.
