Re: 1969 Zl-1 Decals
Steve,
I got the e-mail from Dwight and they sure are the "real deal" documents from CEC.Is that Paul in the pictures? I'm sure I have seen him around the Engineering Building. We never worked together, but or paths crossed. BTW what is the last item (KIT?)on the option list, I can't read it?
I would also bet that it was the "prototype" striping that Engineering put on it to evaluate said striping. It was common for Engineering to sell a Co. vehicle with that type of item left on as long as it didn't compromise fit or function.
I bet the same CEC painter painted that stripe and re-painted my 1965 Corvette are one in the same, only yours was painted as a work related item and my car was re-painted by him in 1982 as a moonlighting job. His name is Jim lashbrook. I did know Jules very well.
If that is Paul and he lived in that house, the neighborhood looks a lot like the neighborhood where the guy lived that I bought my 65 from---small world!
