    Hard top needed for judging?

I'm having my two top 62 judged this weekend in Vancouver, Wa. From reading the judging manual, I understand only one top is judged. I have the soft top in the car and intend to have it be the top to be judged. My question is since the car is a two top car, to I need to bring the hard top as well?

    Thnx, Jon

Only for a Performance Verification do you need both tops on the car. You can Flight with your choice.

jack: if the c-1 was a hardtop only car, the owner wouldn't need a soft top assembly for a PV. unless the rules have changed, i don't recall a two top vette needing both tops for a PV although if it were a power top c-1, then i'd expect the soft top to be present and not just show up with a hardtop. let me know if i stand corrected. regards, mike

I have seen the hardtop being removed and the cloth top checked during a PV. If you can tell it had both tops I think you need them both on a PV.

            Hi Jon,
You can leave the top at home but leave the hardtop wrench in the glove box.

You should show your Corvette with the top that will give you the most points. I had a Bowtie car that I would flight judge with the hardtop because the original soft top had a few issues.

Don't forget the two little black rubber sealing washers - if the hardtop is on, they should be in the bag with the wrench; if the soft top is on, they should be between the hardtop bolt head and the ferrule on the deck lid.
