It's a PRODUCTION-only fastner first used for the 1963 model year. It was never available in SERVICE. I have no specs on it. However, I can tell you that it's not a general-use fastner. It was designed for specific application(s).In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

Joe,
I found the bolt. It is for the tail end connection for side exhaust through the insulators. Since sidepipes were not an option in '63 I guess the bolt had other uses.
Hopefully someone will know the diameter. I would expect 3/8".Comment

That bolt was also used from '63-'67 for the fuel tank straps on both the standard and N03 tanks - it's a 3/8"-16 x 2-1/4" zinc-plated carriage bolt.Comment
