    1954 inspecition

One of our members was so kind to do an inspection on the 'number matching car' of e-Bay item 4600450202. Check out this stamp pad and make up your own mind.

    other remarks:
    - Zoom in and you can see the block was restamped. Ran good but too quite...has (wrong) hydraulic lifters probably a passenger car block.
    - Wrong head number, as we knew.
    - Bottom of transmission. Part number? This is a V8 transmission, no modulator and a 14 inch dip stick.
    - Neutral safety switch...incorrect transmission mounting.
    - Differential. Didn't find MW has a part number of 3698050?

Not much to say otherwise than the deal is off...

    greetings,
    Rob.

Wiper transmissions on blue blanket are ?? to difficult to see
No view of wiper motor area of firewall
      Washer system not shown
      Parking brake alarm jewel missing
      No rear license bezel
Chrome on blue blanket not complete set
License bumperette supports missing (perhaps on blanket)
Deck lid trim & flipper moldings missing
      Upper door panel missing
      Heater missing

Convertible top mentioned but not shown
      Rugs if new are questionable

Hoods or trunks with torn off patches of fiberglass are unusually indicative of the part being violently removed from the vehicle as in a collision.

          Re: 1954 inspecition

Can anyone help identify the cast iron powerglide with a shift pattern (front to rear) RLDNP, approx. a 14 inch long dip stick, no vacuum modulator and casing numbers on the bottom of case of 3708184 - GM5 - C or G 208 or 206?
