fuel boil temperture lower than before ?

it seems that the fuel or gas that is currently being refined boils at a much lower temperature than before

is there a way to increas the boil temperture with some adative or are there some other fuels to be used ?

or should i insulate the fuel lines ?

Actually, vapor pressures have been reduced over the years to lower evaporative emissions, and modern EFI engines will cold start well at lower vapor pressures than carbureted engines.

Since gasoline is a mixture of literally hundreds of hydrocarbon species, there is not a single boiling point, like water.

Gasolines have a distillation curve that shows the percent of species that reach their boiling points at various temperatures and the 10 and 90 percent points are used to quickly characterize a gasoline blend.

For example the ten percent point - the temperature at which 10 percent by mass of the a gasoline's components have reached boiling temperature is typically in the range of 100F and the 90 percent point is usually around 300F.

Winter blends have a lower temperature 10 percent point than summer blends to aid cold starting.

FI hot starting has alway been a problem due to vaporization in the spider and the low cranking injection pressure. There have been various "fixes" over the years, many of which have been discussed in this forum.

Stay away from fuels with methanol(Probably not the avaiable)or ethanol. D/

Actually, it was back in June that we first had this little talk. How quickly I forget.
