Your car should be equipped with a Harrison brass radiator of GM part number 3019190. This radiator utilizes an external supply tank and has NO radiator filler cap. It has a core which is 27-1/2" wide. It has two fittings at the lower, rear for the transmission oil cooler which, for your M-40 equipped car, will be seen with the transmission oil cooler lines attached. The radiator MAY display the part number I mentioned on an attached metal tag. In any event, it should have the Harrison sylized name embossed on it. If so, and it's otherwise of the configuration which I described, it's probably the original one or a correct replacement.
The GM #3019190 radiator is discontinued and replaced by GM #52481556. This radiator GM lists for $671.11. I don't know what, if any, differences that this replacement exhibits with respect to the original. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
