I have a slight oil smoke problem with my 66 427/390 that I don't understand. I get a small puff of smoke only after the motor has been running for a while, and only when you stop at a ligh and then accelerate. The motor is a fresh complete rebuild and oil changes have been regular. Does this sound more like a ring problem, a valve seal problem, or could it be possible that infrequent use cuased the seals to dry out. Could pump gas in these 427's create an issue. And how can I test to isolate the issue. The motor runs great, it's just n annoyance. Any help would be appreciated.
