The 62 air cleaner is different. Aside from the smaller "X", the filter element is entirely different. I think the two assemblies (58-61,62) would interchange, but don't believe parts of one type would interchange with parts of the other.Comment

I would describe...
...the base asy as being the same from 58 - 62. During '62, the cover changed to the smaller X. The changeover is described in the JM - somewhere in the 5K range if I remember correctly. The 58 - 61 filter element was a paper item - I would imagine the switch to the foam element on a screen may have mirrored the small x, big X change.Comment

Changeover to small x in 62 ENDED in the early 5000 range--began as early as 600, and probably even earlier than that.Comment
