I have just removed the cluster on my 66.
In order to test my intended wiring repairs and test bulbs before installation to cluster, I'd like to power up the harness as it hangs there. Switch key to acc, pull light switch on and test bulbs in sockets (with ground jumper wire) as they hang in the harness. Is this dangerous and may cause a fire or am I protected by the fuse block?
yes I'll test the bulbs before insertion into the socket too but I also expect some bulb not properly seated issues too.
