    A happy ending

Here's a story with a happy ending that our group will talk about for some time. On Staurday at the Woodward Dream Cruise, one of our cruising group locked his keys in the trunk of his '57 fuel injected Corvette. After trying to figure out what to do, one of the memebers said we should try the keys of another member who has a '57 Bel Aire. It didn't open the trunk but the ignition key started the car. At least now he could get home (and to a locksmith). We asked all the mebers of the NCRS group who had about 50 spaces on Woodward who had pre '68 cars to try their keys but no luck. On Sunday our group cruised over to the local A&W for lunch and as we were about to leave another '57 Corvette pulled in. We asked to borrow his keys and, "Voila", the trunk popped open! Not much for tight security but for us a happy ending.
    Just a nice story.

    Re: A happy ending

I did that while visiting 4 Corners this summerin my 67. I used the keys to prop up my camera, well I grabbed the camera and left the keys. This I did not realize untill I went to leave. Panic set in my only set of keys and I'm in the middle of nowhere. As I frantically searched a fellow visitor over heard me talking to my family and said I saw them up on the photo platform. Needles to say I now have the infamous hide a key stashed for such occurrences.

Security ??? I have no stinking Security on my 55 Corvette doors. You guys are lucky having those newer Corvettes and that advance technology.

Roy, You have one big advantage...

...would anyone want to steal one of those stinking bath tub leakers??? This would be followed by a "smiley face" if I took the time to learn how to do it.

You Old Guys Are Messin' Wid' Us...

                      This can't be that hard!

When you want to make a smiley face, simply lean yer head over until your ear touches yer left shoulder, then type the characters to draw a face. First there are the eyes (:), that would be the colon, and then the mouth (right parenthesis is a smile, capital D is a toothy grin, left parenthesis is a frown). If you want your smiley to wink, don't hold the shift key down when you make the eyes. Don't forget to put a space BEFORE the eyes, and a space AFTER the grin. Like this:(space):D(space).

Once you get the hang of it, you won't have to lean your head over to the left.
