    56 Axle Seal

    Working on a 56. rear axle bearing seal was leaking. Installed new bearings and seals, before installing axles noticed area where outside of bearing and rubber seal rides is a bit messed up. Looks like someone pounded a screwdriver inbetween bearing and flange to get bearing out. Suspect this is reason for leak. Short of replacing complete housing is there any way to seal this?

      Anything to fill holes should work. Weld and grind, epoxy and sand, maybe even RTV would work.
