C-3 Rotors

What is the range of allowabkle thickiness for a rotor on a 1968 C-3. I have been told you can turn them once, but at what thickness are they no longer any good? Is the front thickness different than the rears? I am especially interested in the front.

John, some rotors have the dimension cast on them but I believe both front and rear are 1.215" min for your car.

The same front/rear rotors are applicable for 1965-82 cars. My Chevrolet Corvette Shop Manual for my 1980 shows 1.230" as the minimum thickness AFTER refinishing.

Replacement (discard) at 1.215". There should be a minimum thickness (wear dimension) cast into the disc itself.

The rotor surfaces also need to be parallel and not vary in thickness over 0.0005".

Yes, all 1965-82 Corvette disc brake rotors, front and rear, have a DISCARD thickness of 1.215". The NEW thickness is 1.250".
