Fan Shroud

My 1973 L-82 Corvette has a late July build date, trim tag date is L20. It has a fan shroud, P/N 339175, which according to the NCRS JM&TR is for a 1974. Did this 1974 component get installed on some of the late 1973 models or did a previous owner install/have install the wrong shroud at some point in time?

With your build date I would not do anything with the shroud until it is seen by the team leader and his judges . Your 73 must be one of the last built and sometimes they have the next years parts.

My July 3rd '73 build date car has the same shroud, as well as other '74 MY parts.

I believe that all later 1973 Corvettes used the 339175 fan shroud.

My 73 L82 has a 331869 fan shroud, is this incorrect? Is it for a 72?, as the number in my JG says it should be 331870?

Gregg 331869 is correct. The extension is 331870.
