    George,

All that work and you forgot to get the original factory installed gasoline. Tsk....Tsk....Tsk
I believe that is a 4000 point deduction on originallity and another 2000 points deducted on color too.
And as a Masterlifetimejudgeofnothingofanyimportance, if I am wrong I'll deduct another 3000 points

As a very new member but owner of a dozen corvettes over the last 35 years I am getting really confused on what the purpose of NCRS is about? I thought I was restoring one--whatever this means. Not trying to be stupid, just not sure I understand (but I do) all the friction? Who is really in charge leadership, members and/or judges?

Bill- The restoration topic has been bandied about for ages. The NCRS- I have learned- strictly interprets this to mean "to bring to an equivalent factory delivery condition". They also have other categories but the main thrust is facsimile recreations of as delivered cars. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the philosophy but unfortunately some of its adherents can be vitriolic. "So goes the war" as the French so wisely say! I find that lots of interesting information can be gleaned from the board and I put it to my own use which is to "restore" my vehicle to historic status I deem appropriate and NCRS viewpoints on "correctness" do not enter the equation as I'm too old and ornery to care very much. I do very much value the research efforts of all those who participate and respect their point of view when applied to their own cars- just not mine.

          Lighten up......

          Bill,

I do NOT judge others Corvettes. I never have and I do not intend to. I just enjoy making my nos. matching car as correct as possible. and in several locations and parts it would be considered "over restored". My car. My choice.

I have NO friction with the NCRS, its members, its guide lines, its policies, or this board and its users.

I merely enjoy good humor that is sometimes presented here.

          No offense was meant.
