Rob,

Yes, it's absolutely fascinating to me hearing about where some of these cars started out, and where they ended up 35 - 45 years later. Like I said in my original post, I was amazed to find out that my car started out at a dealership in northeast New Jersey and ten years later (about 1975) was in Appleton, Wisconsin. I'd just love to know where it was during those first ten years between the dealership lot and Wisconsin.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying the stories so far. It's interesting stuff. I really like the history of these great cars!!! It's not all just nuts and bolts. I hope more people will post their stories as they find out what happened to their cars over the years.

I did a state title search in '79 on the first 66 427 I owned and that got me 10 years of owners - all Michigan.

I was the 13th guy in 10 years, and we got the 13th person because the sellers information was on the back of the title transfers in CY 69. I was a little shocked at the bill the state sent me.

So my story involves travel in a very short timeframe - and pre-title! My car was built on September 4, 1963 and shipped to a dealer in Louisiana. But! It was first titled in January, 1964 - in Arizona. Seems strange, but that's what the records say.
