Keith , You must be sure that the black wire that has another black wire piggybacked on it that attaches to the wiper washer motor housing has a good ground, if not you will be feeding 12volts to the ground circut. that wire ground source is I believe is grounded to one of the bell housing bolts. and don't forget once you have a ground source it will complete the circut and will stop the power with the key off, It maybe possible that the wiper motor is not fully in the park position.

Edward that plug was not hooked up. But another ground was run to the engine. When I test that plug it has power on it. There is no ground to the bell housing but a black wire with no end is down towards the starter. I pulled the ground wire off the blower motor and it shows power on it. Then I tested the terminal it goes onto and it shows power.
i know grounds can cause all kinds of problems but how can all these have power on them. Seems like if I hook them up it would short out.

        Keith,

You mentioned earlier that the black plug was hot. It usually plugs on to a tab that is under one of the screws that holds the front cover on. Under one of the cover screws there is a tab. It should connected to the outside cover.

The black wire itself should be a ground as well. I might track that one down too.

Keith, The blk.ground wire that is suppose to attach to the bell housing bolt is suppose to be ground for the blower and wiper motor I believe. Do you you by chance have that black wire attached to the starter battery post? As it has a eyelet connector on it and is located by the starter area.

Keith, I would stop at the parts store and pick-up a repair eyelet style connector and re-attach as the AIM shows. If you ground this connector it should return your ground circut to normal path. reattach the connector to the wiper motor as it shows also.

Don't let the power to the black wire fool you as when its ground it will complete the circut to wiper motor and blower motor circuts.

Ok, I'll hook it up Monday evening when I get back. I hope no sparks fly. I've see grounds do some weird stuff on trailers .

Ok, I hooked the ground to the bell housing bolt . And hooked the ground to the wiper motor and blower motor. I still have power on both sides of the plug out of the harness that goes to the safety switch on firewall. If I turn the bypass switch under dash off I still have power on the return side of that plug. If I unplug the red wire just before it goes into wiper motor the wire coming out of the motor is hot. If I unplug the three wire plug power leaves the red. But the blue and yellow in the plug are hot.
