For my inventory of bolt headmarks, does anyone know what company name is represented by RSC? This headmark is found on the 5/16 x 18 - 3/4" bolts (GM #122007, I believe) holding the fan shroud on my 66 SB.

Re: RSC bolt headmark
Henry,
I was going to guess that RSC bolts were made by Rockford bolt & Steel Corp., but I can find no confirmation of that in my searching. So, I don't know the answer. But RSC bolts are found in numerous locations on C2 cars, more so from mid 66 thru 67, which used 20 or more RSC bolt on the bumpers. But RSCs are found throughout the engine compartment and the suspension.

Re: RSC bolt headmark
I would not automatically assume that Rockford Bolt and Steel Corp is the correct company. If it were that simple to track down the makers of RSC bolts, someone would have done it by now. I know some folks have access to bolt logo charts and company names and hopefully they can find what the correct company is. I bet Richard Fortier knows the company. If you can figure out how to contact him, I think you'd be rewarded with the right info.

I don't think it was Rockford. My vague recollection is that it was R_________ Screw Company. I just don't recall what the "R" represented but I don't think it was Rockford. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
