C2 air cleaner base

I just looked at some air cleaner bases today one had three tubes one about 2:00 one 4:00 and one 8:00 and a threaded stud going out of the bottom at about 3:00 . any ideas what it was ????

If the threaded stud would be on the right side when the a/c is installed on the engine, it sounds like a 1966 air cleaner for applications with K-19.

In years past I have seen NOS 6422287 air cleaners for 66 Corvettes w/A.I.R. (exc. H/Per., 427) at swap meets but never needed one myself since I live about 3000 miles from California. Reproductions are available from various Corvette vendors who sell them on the web including a photo.
