You might be able to, but you may have a very hard time connecting the lines. With the hood off it's really easy. All it takes is six bolts on the hinges and two on the support. Two people can do it easily.

Why not go ahead and install the grill and bumpers. They won't be in the way when you put in the condenser if the hood is off. Trust me, I have four factory A/C cars and I have changed condensers way to often!- Top

I was thinking it would help if they were off. The problem is I didn't take it apart. And never worked on a a AC car Thanks for the feed back And I'm guessing the condenser should be semi gloss black- Top

Yes I know that. I was talking about how the condenser itself attaches to the brackets. I see the condenser has four tabs on each side for a total of eight tabs. Are regular production j nuts on the condenser with small sheet metal screws to attach.
This his car was all torn apart when I got it. I have built a 67 before but it's a non AC. And I can't find what I am asking about in LIC. and I am not sure if I even have the original fasteners that came with the car in a un-sorted mess- Top

At each end on both on sides of the condenser there is a tab with a hole. And and the bracket it self there are holes that line up to the condenser tabs. Sorry don't have the part close by to post pictures- Top
