Without trying to sound bad... did you look up the standard deduction comments for tires in the manual? The answer is there.

The Firestone Wide Ovals are correct type for "muscle cars" not 68-72 Corvettes. The Goodyears will score a little better. There are several threads on the subject in the archives.

It sounds real bad with all due respect. I do have the manuals and I simply turned here as I still was not clear on it. I can link six dozen other threads by others that could receive the same response but didn't. My post had other comments as well. What is the purpose of this forum? I will look for another vehicle to get my answers. Best regards.

MARC I tried to tell you before this is not the CF where people babble on & on about things that are in the judging manuals ETC & we do NOT hold your hand. We are not about 200 posts about the same crap & the CF is also getting that way. I think you need to get on the OFT on CF so you can post till hell freezes over. Most of us have a life. For those that get it no explanation is needed. For those that don't NONE is possible. Sorry that this sounds harsh but you need to read, wrench to get it judged & get off the computer if you want to get a TF for your 71. .

Sir, if this how the majority of the membership feels towards newer members then this is EXTREMELY dissapointing.
So, this is the response I get from ONE of my 12 threads I posted since I joined this group a year and a half ago? A few which
have been tech related.....I guess that is asking too many questions here.
I only had the car for about 6 months now. I apologize for disturbing your
forum experience here. It is not my intention at all.

I did not get this attitude from Kissimmee, though. So I wonder if this is how
truly others feel. If indeed it is I like to formally apologize to anyone who has been offended by my postings on this site.

You mention the other forum. It really isn't relevant...but
from your postings and personality HERE, I now understand more as to why negative threads
do show up over there from time to time about the ncrs.

You have a great day, Ken. Best regards.

The best purpose of this forum is to answer questions - and there are many - that aren't answered or clarified in the excellent manuals that the NCRS publishes. They're published for a reason, not just to keep some printer in Ohio busy. I think it's reasonable that after a year and a half you would have purchased the appropriate Judging Guide and Judging Reference Manual.
Your question is explicitly answered there, and since there is no easy way to cut-and-paste from the judging guide onto this forum I think it's reasonable to ask if you've looked there first. I'm not much for retyping the portion of the guide that deals with Standard Deductions, but if that's what you're after I suspect someone else will have to answer your question.
