Correct assembly line battery - 1976 Corvette

In the judging manual, it states that the original battery for 1976 was Delco Freedom with a black rubber case. Does anyone have any documentation on this or a picture of this battery? I am familiar with the Delco Freedom with the blue top and white translucent case, but not the black case freedom from 1976. My Delco battery book only shows the white version. Which is correct?

of the many Delco batterys I have used, I have never seen a white translucent case.

April 1977 Delco Battery Catalog - 2.jpg This is the cover of the 1977 Delco battery catalog that I have. The battery in the center is the Delco Freedom which I am familiar with and it is what I thought the original 1976 Corvette battery would have been however the Judging Manual calls for a black rubber case battery which I do not recall ever seeing or hearing of other than the referenced in the Judging Manual.

Bryan, Sometimes the production batteries were different that the replacement batteries, as the one in the catalog pic. The freedom battery in the pic. I think came out around the 78 model year for corvette. but I cannot say for sure. The earlier freedoms may be as the judging manual says, black case with a black and silver label. someone like Joe Lucia would know for sure.
