Intake maniflod to Exhaust manifold "locator" rings

There are three steel rings that go between the intake and exhaust manifolds on 1954 6 cylinder.
    1. Is there an official name for these?
    2. What function do they serve?
    3. Where might they be available?
    Thanks
    Dave

    David,
The 3 sleeves, #3835506, actually go between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. I don't know their exact function. If you google "3835506 sleeve" there are a couple of places that show to sell them.

Yes...I goofed. They do go between the cylinder head and the intake manifold. I guess they help align the two surfaces during installation, but maybe not!! Thanks for the info.

Good recommendation! Just ordered a set of 3 from Tim Tygart's Obsolete Chevrolet Parts Co. $6.00 for the set. Plus shipping.
