On a previous post, I mentioned condensation forming on the back side of the Speedo and Tach Lens and the needles sticking in place.
After much investigation from various sources, it is determined the likliest reason the needles froze in place was due to the mechanisms wear over 40+ years.
I finally was able to talk to the (very experienced) technician that serviced both gauges one year before the gauges froze. The tech reviewed the calibration record that noted wear on the frames on both gauges. So, it is down to completely rebuilding or replacing both gauges.
Question: Does anyone rebuild these gauges? If yes, who? If not, who sells high quality replacements?
Thank you for your help!
