My car is a '68 Dec. '67 build date, 350hp-4 speed. I installed a new GM #3928769 tac cable (same length as original 19.5") but now when I try to connect under the dash it appears to be 2-3" too short. I'm not sure what to do, should I order a '69 cable (parts catalog lists at 23" long) or am I missing something? Thanks.

I don't understand this. You say you installed a cable that is 19.5" long and the same length as the original. However, are you saying that the 19.5" long cable, which is the same length as the original, is now 2-3" too short?In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
