    396 #22301 ???????

Does anyone know what become of 396 #22301 It was Maroon / Maroon bare cowl "restored" using a donor car and the 396 engine from 17297. I have two adds from Ebay of 65 cowls for sale . One has a windshield and the other has the posts cut off . I don't remember which one was 22301.

To refresh everyone's memories of this car: it was a beautiful car when completed. Check out 3 "similar threads" below, but skip any eBay links -- they've expired.

None of the links (incl. Tech Board Archives) seems to be working, so here's a few of what it looked like in 2008 (when back on eBay as restored).

One feature to notice: front clip on the trailer shows slots for power window wire conduits. The restored car has no A31 .

So it grew another 69 cubic inches too? Amazing what can happen in 50 years. It is a beautiful car, the biggest worry as someone else mentioned is the donor car being stolen.

It seems like there would have been ECL codes on the trim tag showing the A31 if it was a St. Louis body, and if its not a St Louis body N14 side exhaust would set off an alarm to some folks.
