1970 Rear compartment courtesy light lens removal?

I can't figure out how to remove the plastic lens on the back wall of the deck without cracking it by prying on the edge (not the one in the center storage compartment). Suggestions on technique?

    Thanks.

Keith, about the only way I can think to remove is to take your wife's hair dryer and heat the lens up to make slightly soften, then take a pocket screw driver and pry of from either far ends. and re-heat on the install.

      Hi Keith,
Actually I believe there is a tab at each corner of the lens that slips into a slot in the corners of the light's bezel.
You can release the 2 tabs at each end (upper and lower) by squeezing the lens just slightly with your fingers near the tabs.
First one side, then the other.
      Regards,
      Alan

Yup, that's how it's done. It takes very little compression to remove the lens.

Thanks to all that posted, I was able to get it off based on your posts. It still was very difficult to get off as there isn't much of a lip edge to grab.
