    IIRC the "Polyglas" marketing name came from the construction of two polyester cord bias plys and and a fiberglass belt. Since they didn't have any nylon, they didn't tend to flat spot.

      Absolutely correct. My brother ran a Goodyear franchise in the '60s, and as soon as they came out I had to swap my Blue Streaks for them, they were hi-tech in those days…...
