    Bench Check Fan Blower

If I pig tail off the positive terminal of a twelve volt battery to the connector and just ground out the motor at one of the bolt holes, with a good contact, shouldn't the fan motor work at full speed? It doesn't turn at all. I show about 11.75 volts. Do I have to power up, as on the car though the resistor and the relay, to get it to work. Maybe it is just a burnt up motor. It does turn freely.
    Thanks
    Dale

Dale, Just be sure of your ground connection, If the area has paint it may not ground properly. But as Mike says should work.
